Tameshichiro Miura the 2nd was born in Tokyo in 1941. His real name is Naruhisa Fukuda. He learned Minyo with Setsuko Sato, professional miyo singer. In 1961 he got the 3rd prize at Japan Minyo competition with Miyagi Nagamochi-uta. After that he worked at Minyo sakaba where he could sing Minyo in front of many people every day. At that time there was no Karaoke shop. So many people went to Minyo sakaba to enjoy singing. He worked at the New Torigoe shop where he met with his wife, Atsuko. Atsuko was the daughter of Tameshichiro Miura 1st. Atusko was also a master of Shamisen and Minyo. At that time, Michiya Mihashi got the name of Tameshichiro Miura. So Naruhisa Fukuda learned Esashi Oiwake with Michiya Mihashi for 3 years and got the name of Tamashicho Miura the 2nd. Now Tameshichiro Miura the 2nd is teaching Minyo and Minyo shakuhachi at Koto-ward and he composed several songs-“Haruno Yamauta”,the spring mountain song,”FuyunoYamauta”,the winter mountain song and “Shitamachi Ondo”,downtown Bonodori song and “Oshidori Oiwake”,namely mandarin duck Oiwake song.
